Georgian bread, or shotis puri, is a staple of Georgian cuisine, known for its elongated shape and golden crust, slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Traditionally, it is baked in a clay oven called a tone, similar to an Indian tandoor, where the dough is pressed directly against the oven walls for even and quick baking.
